Last week Fisher-Price recalled all of its 4.7 million Rock ‘n Play sleepers after pediatrician groups urged the company to stop selling the product amid reports linking it to multiple infant deaths.

Read more about the recall in The New York Times and USA Today, and review the US Consumer Product Safety Commission notice that includes consumer contact information.

We continue to have a section on our site for Rocking Sleepers not included in the recall from various manufacturers as well as the Fisher-Price Cradle ‘n Swing.

As always, read and follow the instructions for your product regarding usage safety. Pay close attention to recommendations regarding your baby’s ability to roll over, height and weight limitations, and instructions for securely fastening any included safety harnesses.

As noted in our Baby Bed Guide, the safest place for your child’s sleep is in a properly configured crib.
